Annemarie Appleton Honored with Top Annual Award from Key ASTM International Committee

ASTM International’s committee on steel, stainless steel and related alloys (A01) presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Annemarie Appleton, president, Alloy Stainless Products Company, in Totowa, New Jersey, USA. The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for individual contributions to developing standards.

The committee honored Appleton for long term leadership, organization, and dedicated service to the committee as chair as a sub-chair, member and, contributor, and faithful liaison between the committee and numerous related organizations. Appleton was previously honored with the Award of Appreciation (2010). 

An ASTM International member since 1989, Appleton is also a member of the ASTM International committee on additive manufacturing technologies (F42). She has held her current position with Alloy Stainless Products Company since 2015, having previously served as vice president of manufacturing and quality, vice president of quality, quality control manager, quality control administrator, and inside sales associate. 

Appleton holds an associate degree in accounting from Passaic County Community College. 

In addition to ASTM International, Appleton is also a member of ASME, ASM International, the American Society for Nondestructive Testing, Manufacturers Standardization Society of the Valve and Fitting Industry, and the American Society for Quality.
